Welcome

Welcome to Every Child is Your Child (ECIYC), a community group dedicated to ensuring the education, and empowerment of every child, particularly those living in the Direct Provision system. We believe that every child deserves love, care, and the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. ECIYC was founded with the vision of building a society where every child is valued, supported, and given equal opportunities to reach their full potential. We recognize the importance of nurturing the younger generation and the positive impact it can have on the entire community.

ECIYC was founded with the vision of building a society where every child is valued, supported, and given equal opportunities to reach their full potential. We recognize the importance of nurturing the younger generation and the positive impact it can have on the entire community.

At ECIYC, we strive to create a supportive network that extends beyond biological families and encompasses the entire community. By fostering a sense of collective responsibility, we believe we can collectively transform the lives of children in need. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where every child feels cherished, supported, and encouraged to grow.

New Beginnings

Over the past few months, we've been working diligently behind the scenes. Our focus has been on developing a new, impactful project with the input of children who have experienced direct provision.

We are thrilled to announce our latest initiative: a resource pack featuring an activity book designed to help newly arrived asylum seeker children in Ireland. This pack includes essential items such as gloves, hats, pens, pencils, crayons, a notebook, and a gift card.

At this point of the project, we have just finalised the design and sample printing of our activity book. Our goal is to raise funds to cover the costs of printing 1000 copies, stationery, distribution, and other expenses.

"More than 460 children arrived in April 2024, according to weekly updates from the International Protection Office."
